Crystal Child Characters; Sarah Greenwood

If you've been following the blog you will know I'm exploring the characters in Crystal Child. Today it's the turn of the main protaginist Sarah Greenwood to undergo scrutiny.
Sarah is a seven-year-old blonde haired child with unusual hypnotic blue eyes, but they are not the only strangeness about her. Sarah is psychic but she is too young to know it yet. She lives between two worlds, the physical and the spiritual. To Sarah these spirits are as real as those from the physical plane. She interacts with them without fear and can't understand why the people in her life cannot see them too.
From the time she learned to talk Sarah began chatting to spirits from the other side. This amuses her parents and other adults in her life who believe Sarah is just a very imaginative child, but this only lasts until she begins school. There, her constant chattering arouses scrutiny when the 'imaginary friend phase' dosen't pass as expected. The school principal and Sarah's class teacher both believe Sarah's imaginary world needs to be dispelled. She is sent to child-psychologist, Judith Carlton for a psychological evaluation.
Sarah is an important character. She is the central figure-head of the story in which clairvoyance is explored. Her mother, teacher and psychologist all attempt to cure her but in doing so they unleash a devestating force in all their lives. Sarah maybe unafraid of ghosts but the adults definately are.
