Crystal Child Characters; Caroline Greenwood

Caroline Greenwood is Sarah's over anxious mother. Her anxiety problems began long before Sarah was even born. So, she dosen't take kindly to her daughter's teacher and the headmistress at school. Especially when they complain of her child's 'Lack of attention in class.' Caroline believes they are exaggerating Sarah's behaviour. She also knows the other children at school don't like her daughter. Some of them even fear Sarah!
Caroline's own emotional problems are a condition inherited from her past. Her father was sczophrenic and took his own life when she was a mere child herself. Her mother is a devoutly religious woman, and they have been estranged since she reached the age of adulthood.
When Sarah is suspended from school, Caroline's anxiety returns with a ferocity. She is angry with the teachers, her husband and her daughter. She loves Sarah deeply, but she also fears her strange child.
Caroline's nervous, agitated state is worsened by Sarah's continual whispering and the imaginary world everyone believes she has created.
Child psychologist, Judith Carlton, becomes Sarah's and her mother's only saviour in a life of woe.
The story of Crystal Child is told in three points of view, Caroline's, Judith's and Sarah's.
Tomorrow I will be talking about Sarah, the main protaginist, as the story revolves around her and the spirits that invade her life.
It also revolves around the effect she has upon the adults that surround her.
